Proofreading and Copy-editing

During copy-editing, a document is checked thoroughly line for line for correct punctuation, grammar and spelling. Transloopa follows the "5c-process" which stands for: correct, concise, clear, comprehensible and consistent. The Transloopa copy-editor will check for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, numbers, terminology, jargon, semantics and timelines.


Copy-editing takes place before a document is passed on to the proof-reader who finalizes it before it is delivered. Proofreading is sometimes also refered to copy-editing. However, these processes are not the same. Proofreading is the review process of a text when the proof-reader checks for typos and errors in formatting.

Terminology (management & creation)

Terminology plays a very large role in translation. Sometimes a company's terminology is incorrect or corrupted with a very large number of inconsistencies. We repair wrong terms and create new terms.
