DIN EN 15038, the European Translation Industry Quality Standard

The German DIN standards - always a milestone in the development of quality assurance standards in many different industries - were the first standards applicable for the translation industry: DIN 2345 was long the only standard applicable for part of the translation services sector. In 2006, the European Committee for Standardization published the long-awaited DIN standard for the translation industry only: DIN EN 15038. This standard is now the standard by which quality in the translation industry is measured. Transloopa works according to this standard DIN EN 15038, we adhere to the strict guidelines of this standard which include ensuring the quality of personnel and technical resources, project management, framework conditions of the contract work processes and additional services. As this standard is the only standard applicable solely in the translation industry, it has gained worldwide acceptance. It has become the mandatory standard of translation work for the European Union.

Confidentiality - Transloopa Language Services

Any and all documents and video, sound or data carriers submitted to us will be handled in strict confidence, regardless of whether they have been submitted for a quote, as source material for a translation or as reference material. We at Transloopa are very discrete when it comes to our clients privacy, this is the reason we do not show off our clients as references. Our staff and freelancers, before being accepted into our database, must sign a confidentiality agreement. In the event of highly sensitive projects, we are more than happy to sign a separate confidentiality agreement.
